Introducing myself

About me

Hi, my name is Claas. Nice to see, that you stumbled across my little blog.

I don’t want to tell too much about myself. Just a short introduction.
Living in northern Germany for over 35 years, I’m interested in hardware and overclocking for about 20 years and I want to write down the things I do in my free time.

Let’s see where this journey will end.

What’s this all about?

I want to use the pandemic time to tinker with my beloved little Raspberry Pis.

Since the first Model B was released in 2012 (wow, almost 10 years!) I used the different Models to host some services at my home.
It started with my Baikal server to host my private calendars and addressbooks, now my RPi 4 is mainly my Pi-Hole server to filter things I don’t want on my devices.

When times went by, the topic overclocking came into focus. Why only oc the normal x86_64 hardware I use?
In the beginning of the 2000s overclocking was the way to gain more performance for the money spent. Nowadays overclocking is fun and an opportunity to learn the beaviour of hardware on various…let’s call it treatments of cooling and modifications.

On this blog I want to take you on my journey in mainly overclocking and benchmarking Raspberry Pis from Model B to the latest iteration. Let’s hope you get to read something interesting and I have a place to write down my learning process and experiences.

Now I will start writing. If you have something to say, feel free to drop me a line.
